Lima Kecamatan Diterjang Banjir, Kini Hujan Masih Mengguyur Pidie

Baca Gitu Loh - Sumatra - Rain fell in Pidie Regency, Thursday (25/1/2024) evening, causing five sub-districts to be hit by floods.

The water was as high as an adult's knees and heels, and had time to penetrate the homes of residents in Pidie, Keumala and Padang Tiji sub-districts.

The flooding caused by rainwater did not cause people to evacuate, considering that before dawn the water had receded.

"The impact of high rainfall in five sub-districts is flooding," said Head of the Pidie Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Muhammad Rabiul, to Serambinews.com, Friday (26/1/2024).

He said that the sub-district that experienced flooding was Gampong Jijiem, Keumala District.

Then, Gampong Dayah Meunara, Titeu District. Pante Garot Village, Indra Jaya District. Gampong In Paloh Settlement, Padang Tiji District. and Gampong Baro, Pidie District.

This is because the sub-district has not reported that houses have been inundated by the flood.
