Baca Gitu Loh - Java - President Joko Widodo inaugurated the Pakupatan Type A Terminal located in Serang City, Banten Province, on Monday, January 8 2024.

The President appreciated the cooperation between the Ministry of Transportation and the local government so that the construction of the terminal could be carried out well.

"I really appreciate the Ministry of Transportation for collaborating with the Regional Government, provincial government and city government so that the Pakupatan Terminal can be built," said the President.

The President also hopes that the terminal building, which is inspired by one of Banten's batik motifs, namely the Pawaranggen motif, can change the image of the terminal for the better. The president does not want the terminal to have the image of being unsafe and full of thugs.

"The terminal is a comfortable place, the service is good, and it also encourages small businesses and medium businesses to be able to trade their products at the terminal we have," said the President in his speech.

On this occasion, the President also explained that currently traffic jams have occurred in almost all cities, especially on the island of Java. This happens because almost everyone who has financial power chooses to use private vehicles.

"Those who bought cars, those who bought motorbikes, all used private vehicles and abandoned public transportation, abandoned mass transportation," said the President.
